About the Book

Is happiness achieved or manufactured?

Makin' Happy tells the alluring story of Asia Blake, a New York Disc Jockey and Writer, as she travels searching for the very answer to that question.  She has everything but the stability of a supportive relationship, which she knows will not complete her, but she can’t stop the aching feeling that it could ease some of her tension.  

Follow her on her path to happiness as she uncovers the beauty and depth of friendships, the ties that strengthen a family, and the ecstasy of seductive, serendipitous romps with an array of men, fully experiencing all the pleasure and heartache her wondrous journey has to offer. This enchanting tale will stimulate, infuriate, and inspire to share in the joy of her triumphs and agony of her frustrations. 

About the Author

Niki Kendall is an educator, filmmaker, lecturer, motivational speaker, event planner and the author of several published articles and short stories.

A graduate of Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts (MFA) and Montclair State University (BA), she was born and raised in New Jersey and currently works in public education. 

Niki serves on various committees within her community and volunteers her time writing grants and doing web design.  She loves to cook and entertain for friends and family.  She resides in Apex, North Carolina with her talented artist/musician daughter.
