About the Author
Debbie Palmer and Jennifer Kitchin are prominent board certified dermatologists in private practice in the greater New York City area, and are members of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery. They have published several medical journal articles on the benefits of antioxidants, have published dermatology textbook chapters, and have presented at various national and international dermatology conferences. Dr. Palmer is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Kansas City University of Medicine summa cum laude. While in dermatology training, she served as chief resident and was the national resident liaison. Dr. Palmer served as co-chair of the Westchester County Medical Society Public Relations committee. She resides in Greenwich, CT with her husband and son. Dr. Kitchin is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania and New York University School of Medicine. She was the 1997 recipient of the New York University School of Medicine Department of Dermatology award. Dr. Kitchin is a contributor to the popular consumer guide, The Pill Book. She resides in Rye Brook, NY with her husband and three children. Dr. Silverman is a graduate of Columbia University. He has been a hospital pharmacist, educator, industry consultant, author and educator during his more than 40-year career. He is Editor-in-Chief of The Pill Book. In addition, Dr. Silverman is author of, The Pill Book Guide to Safe Drug Use, The Consumer’s Guide to Poison Protection, and Travel Healthy. He is a co-author of The Vitamin Book: A No-Nonsense Consumer Guide. Dr Silverman has written many articles and textbook chapters, including The Merck Manual of Medical Information: Home Edition. He has taught pharmacology and clinical pharmacy at several universities and won numerous awards for his work. Dr. Silverman resides in the Washington DC area.
