About the Author
Arlene Holmes is the mother of James Holmes, who is the defendant charged with a theater shooting. She is an opponent of the death penalty and an advocate for treating mental illness with dignity and compassion by using a combination of science, medicine, religion, and community support. Arlene is a registered nurse.
