Introduction.
This is a report on how small town Muddle in-Marsh Hospital was rescued from near closure then nurtured to greatness by its devoted community. All characters depicted are fictitious. If inadvertently I have used the names of real life men and women, I apologize to them. Characters such as Jenny Taylia, Ursula Seymour-Legge, Dr. I.M. Fuller Bull, Pastor U.R. Glum, and Willie Weasel, if existing in real life, are not. the characters in this book. Further, any resemblance to real life of incidents recorded are coincidental. Accuracy of gossip for example in waiting rooms cannot be authenticated. My tape recorder needed a new battery. This book is now in its sixth printing. They were printed one at a time. The first five printings were smudged and destroyed. I hope every reader enjoys this book as much as I have enjoyed spending the royalties. Its publication has brought me fame and fortune. The U.S. President, in Washington, recently answered his phone, listened for a moment, then said 'It's for you, James.' When dining at restaurants, I no longer select the cheapest menu items. Instead, I select the next cheapest. Sales of this book have quadrupled since it was banned because of the explicit sexual references. They are replaced by popular demand. All net proceeds from the sale of this book go to charity, namely, 'The Willan Income Supplement Foundation Inc.' Readers are invited to submit comments and suggestions to the publishers then change their name and address.

About the Book
Muddle-in-Marsh Hospital was near closure because of inept conduct of financial and other affairs. The board of directors and doctors resigned. Community activists rallied to appoint a new board of directors and a new administrator to turn around the hospital. Doctors returned to the staff. Board members Mona Lott and George G. Raffe, patient Jenny Taylia, the Chief of Medical Staff Dr. Fuller-Bull, janitor Ivor Mopp, attorney Lee Galbrain, and others take the reader through a chain of bizarre happenings intended to restore the hospital’s continuing service to the community.
About the Author
Mr. Willan is a retired career hospital administrator with service in many countries. For some time he was a World Health Organization Management Consultant in the Western Pacific Region. He has an M.B.A. degree from Monmouth University, New Jersey. Mr. Willan is an active member of Space Coast Writer’s Guild in Florida and the author of Hospital Management in the Tropics and Sub-tropics (Macmillan). His home is now in Florida.
