About the Author
Victor M. Uribe, M.D. has practiced adult, child, adolescent, and family psychiatry for over twenty years. He was trained in general psychiatry at the Illinois State Psychiatric Institute in Chicago, and received his fellowship training in child, adolescent, and family psychiatry at the University of Chicago. He is a Fellow and a Diplomate of the American Psychiatric Association. He is a Fellow and a Certified Psychoanalyst of the American Academy of Psychoanalysis. He has taught in the psychiatric departments of the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, and Loyola University of Chicago; has been a consultant to private and governmental facilities, a local, national and international lecturer, medical director of psychiatric programs, a participant in Spanish speaking radio programs in Chicago, and author of many publications. He is currently in private practice in Chicago.
