Both the materialistic and scientific worldviews have provided a semblance of reliable certainty compared to the ancients, perceptions of the natural environment as uncontrollable and chaotic. Yet how do these present-day paradigm ideas affect human values, morality, and ethics? Do they reinforce the maintenance of a cohesive, balanced, and unified society? And does the individual feel a sense of being an important member of the community because that is verbally or non-verbally communicated to them every day?
It should be obvious to any thinking person that individualistic and monetary aspects of our current society are proving increasingly disruptive to the collective good. This dictates that we not be afraid to scrutinize the very foundations of the Western model. Should the emphasis be placed on existing concepts of individualism, separation, adversarialism, legalism, and commoditization through monetary values, or instead readapt the ancient ideals of interconnectedness, cohesion, balance, harmony, stewardship, unity, and sacredness? Which set of values would best encourage and enhance the creative abilities human beings possess and ensure long-term individual and collective security, prosperity, and happiness?

Through such an interconnected cultural philosophy, implemented within each unique cultural definition, plus a globally-agreed upon general philosophy of sacredness, all problems can be approached and solved in order to create a sacred future.
