--the Ark crashed into the center of the herd of brontosaurus. There was a terrorizing roar as the ship smacked into one of the beasts. Shem watched the long neck of the injured beast fly into the air, its body quickly following and then, all at once, this monster was on the boat, thrashing wildly, roaring, howling and there was blood spurting all over the place. Apparently the animal had been wounded in the crash. Shem glanced at his hands, then his shirt; it was red with blood. Then he saw the big foot of the brontosaurus. It was right beside him. He could see the giant claws digging into the boat. He grabbed the rail of the ship for a moment to steady himself. The giant beast roared again. Then cocked its long snake-like neck and its head came swinging down toward Shem. He didn't move. He was frozen with fear. The beast stared at him and blinked its eyes and then opened its mouth and howled. Shem was so close he could smell its breath, stinking of mash and rotten vegetation. Then the head swung up and facing the black sky, it bellowed again, sounding like both a cry of fear and anger. Then its big hind legs came crashing down on the boat and its monstrous weight shook the boat and sent Shem sprawling along its side. Noah grabbed him so he wouldn't go overboard. Ham and Japheth tried pushing the monster over the side, but it did little good. It was far too heavy to be moved by four men. "We've got to get him off the boat!" shouted Noah.

About the Author
Von Bulow is a world traveler, writer, and broadcaster. Has sampan'd in China, raced up the klongs in those pencil-thin, high powered canoes in Borneo, swam with stingrays off Jamaica; trudged up the Delarosa in Jerusalem, and climbed down into the pharaoh's tombs in Egypt. He has written for newspapers (Star and Plain Talk) and radio and television. His first book was an autobiography "From Here to Eternity Without a Road Map"; then a political book, "The President's Wife", followed by "My Father, the President"; all are a part of political trilogy. Other books by the author are: "They Called Him Meshuga, Crazy Man", the story of Noah and the great flood. And his last book is a love story, a true story entitled: "The Travels of Jerry Smith and Raggedy-Ann". Von Bulow enjoys golf, tennis, and swimming. He has four children and fourteen grandchildren. He writes and lives in Southern California.
