About the Book

"Surely the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants, the prophets." This text is a message from God and He has given me the courage to deliver that message and the wisdom, truth, and courage to keep the message within my heart.

A Christian Knight's Prayer Book and Devotional Guide has always had one aim - to be used by God to speak to men and women in these momentous times; to help them understand and believe and obey His words. This prayer book and devotional guide is intended both as a means of improving and sustaining continuous habits of prayer, and devotion for all who may read it.

It has been a great joy to me to know that all through the centuries, God has used these same words to speak to Knights of old and the Knights of today. It is my prayer that God may continue to use A Christian Knight's Prayer Book and Devotional Guide as a path to enable men and women to know Jesus Christ, to love Him, and to follow Him.

About the Author

Edgar ‘Poe’ Symmes, III is a new writer of extraordinary gift as well as a unique ancestry. Poe’s roots flow deep within the old English/Irish clergy beginning with Rev. Zechariah Symmes, Canterbury, England, 1599, and followed by Rev. John Cleves Symmes, whose daughter was Anna Symmes Harrison and was the wife of President William Henry Harrison. Rev. William Symmes, one of a handful of Colonial clergy who owned and lived in the historical North Andover, Mass.

Edgar Poe Symmes, III was born in Gulfport, MS, a small but unique coastal town found along the Gulf of Mexico. It was here that Poe became interested in the Holy Bible and its many interpretations as well as theologians and interpreters such as Saint Jerome, Saint Thomas Aquinas and William Barclay. Poe states that there were many positive influences in his early life but none more powerful than his Mom and a young dynamic minister in his community that left him with many words of wisdom. But Poe’s greatest influence has been the power of God and the succession of miracles that God has given to him over his lifetime.

Poe became a born again Christian seven years ago. He states without reservation, that "when one believes that they are in total control of their life, is when life’s path begin to find the pot holes." "It is only when one gives up his or her life and turns their life completely over to Christ that they find the paved pathways to the true light. It has only been through my Faith and continued Prayer life, that I have been given a miracle lighted journey that has lead me back to the path of Christ."
