About the Book
Matthew Hollister longs for adventure. When he learns of the American military expedition to conquer Canada, Matthew is determined to join, despite his father’s prohibition. After stowing away, Matthew becomes a member of the expedition led by Colonel Benedict Arnold. Along with Aaron Burr, Daniel Morgan, and his famous riflemen, Matthew quickly discovers that severe weather and many miles of desolate wilderness lay ahead. Out of supplies, and faced by one obstacle after another in the wilderness, will Matthew and the expedition survive the march to Canada?
About the Author
Christina Semmens has a Masters degree in history and is a former social studies teacher. When not writing historical fiction, she is busy being wife, mother, church volunteer, and youth hockey coach. She lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado with her husband, Paul, and their son, Sean.
