He wanted to smell her, touch her, just simply be near her. There was an outside force so strong that he had to follow up on it. Once the hot water soothed his body, he decided to dress in something cool and relaxing before he went to Reba's house and visit Milya's room. The weather was extremely hot and muggy, sort of sticky like. The Delta was known for it's heat during the summer months. He put on a t-shirt and a pair of cut-off blue jeans. Lacing up his running shoes, he left Uncle Bennie's house to find comfort in Milya's room. As he stepped out of the house, a thought quickly entered his mind. It worked once, maybe it'll work again. He decided to enter her room again through the window. He was not ready to face anyone just yet. Why entering the house couldn't be done the correct way he didn't know. He wanted this time to be his, and his alone. He reached her window and pushed it lightly. It moved with ease just as it did the first time. She was there before when he tried this, maybe she'll be there this time too. Hoping against all odds, Rick crawled through the window and stopped once he made it on the inside.
