The only philosophy of prayer that is consistent with our faith as children of the King, believers if you will or faithful, is the one called SCHOLASTICISM. Because the philosophy of prayer explains the nature and value of it, in accordance with each system’s basic principles regarding the existence, power and providence of God. This particular philosophy "scholasticism" is in agreement with the concept of God as existent, omnipotent, good and provident for man as a creature totally dependent upon Him, and of natural laws, stating that a prayer is reasonable, beneficial and also a natural duty. The theology of prayer, as it was developed by Catholic Theologians of all periods, showed that the primary purpose of prayer was to offer God a homage which comprises adoration (recognition of God’s dominion and men dependence), thanksgiving (or gratitude for benefits), atonement (removal of sin, sorrow and satisfaction), and supplication (appeal to God for all that contributes to mans perfection). All of these are also applied to our prayers as Christians, and prayers as such should be attentive, devout, reverent, humble, sincere, believing, resigned and persevering; furthermore, it should always be made "in the name of Jesus" that is, in reliance upon the merits and promises of Christ. For whatever men licitly desire, he should pray for and always direct its ultimately to God. We Christians involve God in the Trinity, the three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Prayer could be mental or vocal, being either by internal acts only or by these acts outwardly expressed in a form of public or private worship, and also done by words or gestures. Here we can see as mentioned, that our worship could be done in many different ways. The Apostle Paul talks about these spiritual gifts in 1 Corinthians, chapter 12, and those in turn allow us to express adoration, supplication (in words and gestures), thanksgiving, etc. to our Almighty God and Jesus as well.

About the Book
It
is my understanding that this book is written for all kinds of people. The main purpose of it, is to show the
reader that our lives should be turned to the Almighty God and Jesus Christ in
the form of prayers, and it will provide us with an insight of the real
importance that prayers have in our daily contact with our Lord.
My
intention in writing this book is to inspire young people and adults as well,
so they can understand why prayers are significant in our daily endeavors. This book is aimed also, to teach about
prayers, and even though there are many books on the same subject on the
market, this is one of vital importance because it tells people how to get an
encounter with God and the way or ways He will reveal Himself to them. It also constitutes a powerful mean for the
purpose of evangelizing.
This
book shows the reader how paramount our prayers in reaching God’s purposes for
the faithful, and how important is our relationship with the Trinity: God
Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

El Dr. Felipe S. Wober, nacido
en la provincia de Entre Rios, Republica Argentina, recibió el título de Odóntologo
Cirujano en enero de l960. Graduado de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, Facultad
de Odontología, continuó con su práctica profesional y estudios de
post-graduado en diversos hospitales de la Capital Federal. En l969, viajó a
los Estados Unidos, donde realizó su internado dental en Chicago, Illinois en
el Hospital MOUNT SINAI. Años después,
decidió cambiar su profesión y abrazó la de Educador- Maestro y Profesor,
enseñando Ciencias e Inglés en diversas Universidades, así como también en
numerosas escuelas privadas y públicas. El Dr. Wober sintió el llamado del
Señor en 1984, cuando abrazó la fé cristiana y comenzó a predicar Su Palabra en
un poderoso Ministerio dirigido a los ancianos. En 1990, se mudó a la Florida,
continuando con su misión cristiana, esta vez predicando la Palabra en diversas
Iglesias y Escuelas El autor reside en Sebring, Fl. con su esposa Carmen, donde
atienden la Primera Iglesia Asamblea de Dios en Sebring, Florida.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Dr. Felipe S. Wober is a former Dentist; he graduated from the
University of Buenos Aires, Argentina Dental School in 1960. He also completed his English Master Degree,
at Cambridge Institute for English Language, in 1955 in the city of Buenos
Aires, Argentina. He resided in
Illinois, where he worked as a professor for different colleges and
universities. He became involved with
Christianity in 1984, and started teaching and preaching in public, as well as
private schools in the area of Joliet, IL.
At that time, he undertook a ministry devoted to the elderly in nursing
homes. In 1990 he moved to Florida,
where he worked also as a teacher for private high schools in the area of
Deerfield Beach. Dr. Wober was involved
with Youth for Christ and several other Youth Christians Groups, as a teacher
and counselor. In 1998, he and his wife
became very active in churches around the communities of Highlands County,
Sebring, Florida.
