OUR LOVE IS LIKE THE WIND
TO A DOVE
Your love is like the wind to the
wings of a dove, causing me to soar high above the things that once cause pain
to my heart. Your love brings peace to
my heart as the wind brings lift to the wings of a dove that causes it to soar
high above. Like the sun brings warmth
to the body of a dove and like the wind that causes it to soar high above, and
this is the warmth you brought when you open the door to this lonely heart, and
cause my love to soar high above. You
are to me like the wind is to the wings of a dove lifting me high above the
things that once caused me pain to my heart.
THE HEART
The heart doesn't forget the
things that makes life more complete, but keeps, instead, in memory the smiles,
so warm and sweet, the words of kind encouragement that made a burden
light. The many little thoughtful acts
that makes my days bright, the heart remembers each day and night. The heart
doesn't forget such things, that it knows are true, that comes from you,
because my heart is always filled with special thoughts of you.

About the Author
I was born in
I drive tractor trailers for a
living and have five children that are now grown.
What started me to writing poetry
was one day I was sitting looking out a window at a tree and the things around
it, and began to see the beauty in them.
Then I began to write many things to my wife about how beautiful she is.
I began writing in March of 1990
and have been writing ever since.
