About the Book

Bradley Bay, a contemporary lesbian romance novel, tells the fiery story of two dynamic women who make a commitment to keep a dream alive and travel a road wrought with challenges that test their love.

In the beautiful sprawling resort of Bradley Bay in northern Ontario, owner and visionary Dr. Kaitlin Bradley tends to the needs of adults with spinal cord injuries. The resort was a dream come true for Kaitlin and her partner, Quinn, herself a quadriplegic. Since Quinn’s death from pneumonia, Kaitlin has run the resort alone and begun to piece together her shattered life.

Captivating Sierra Vaughn, a registered nurse from Toronto and refugee from a failed relationship, arrives at Bradley Bay to volunteer two weeks of her precious vacation time to help out at the resort.

Kaitlin and Sierra’s initial meeting is filled with sizzling tension and spiteful animosity, leaving them both emotionally and physically drained. Sierra grudgingly listens to Kaitlin’s apology and explanation as they tread onto friendlier ground and begin to enchant one another.

Sierra pours her heart and soul into her duties at Bradley Bay and quickly falls in love with the resort and the mysterious, alluring Kaitlin Bradley...their scorching attraction burns throughout the pages as they discover a love like no other.

Their lives blend and flow together with blissful peace and harmony until a violent act sends Sierra to the hospital. Kaitlin prays for the only thing she wants and needs in her life: Sierra.

Bradley Bay is a story that embraces the deep, sensitive love and unique connection between women. It exhibits the positive outcomes that arise from personal tragedy. It displays the strength of a relationship as two people turn to each other and make the commitment to meet life’s challenges together.

About the Author

I spent the summer after I graduated from nursing school working in a resort. I remember walking along the edge of the lake and bravely dipping my toes into the ice-cold water. I watched the ripples extend outward from my reflection and wondered where those ripples would take me from that moment on. Seventeen years later I look back on the journey of those ripples that brought me to write my novel, Bradley Bay.

Since leaving the resort, I spent six years working in a Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit caring for spinal cord injured adults. Those patients taught me the lessons of patience, hope and the strength of the human spirit. The essence of my story is those patients that profoundly touched my life.

I have been blessed to experience the beauty of love between women. It is that depth of understanding, passion and respect that I enjoy exploring through my stories.

I currently live in Arizona with my partner of ten years and our governing cat. I have also written the novel entitled, Tender Heart that was published by 1st Books Library in 2000.
