A violent shudder ripped through Samantha’s body as she watched the casket being lifted from its resting place. "How could he have done this to me?" she thought resentfully. It was all his fault that she was having to go through this now. Samantha shuddered again and turned away. The last several years had been one long nightmare. First, Grant had left her for that miserable, home wrecking bitch. Then, he suddenly died before she had a chance to stop loving him. Not only did she have to suffer when he left her and her children; she had to suffer all over again when he died. He could have had the decency to wait until she didn’t feel anything for him. "You all right, Samantha?" Sgt. Martin’s voice sounded far away. She dragged herself back from the abyss of her anger. "Yes, I’m okay, just tired, that’s all. If he weren’t already dead, I’d kill him for putting me and my children through this hell." "Samantha, you know this is not really something he could have foreseen or prevented." "He could have if he had been where he belonged. I’m sure she’s responsible for this. She pushed him to it. I don’t know how she did it, but I know she did." "We’ll soon know if there is any evidence to back up your suspicions, Samantha, buy you have to prepare yourself for the possibility that the coroner may again conclude that it was simply a heart attack." "It wasn’t and you know it." Samantha retorted hotly. "Grant was a young, healthy man. He took good care of his body. I don’t believe for one minute that he died of a sudden, unexpected heart attack. If he had a heart attack, that bitch caused it somehow." Sgt. Martin studied the angry woman in front of him. The color was high on her cheeks and her eyes glittered. Her anger did not detract from. her beauty. It only seemed to make her more magnetic. She was wearing an ivory pantsuit, which accentuated the creaminess of her skin in contrast to the thick, dark hair, which flowed loosely around her shoulders. Bob Martin could not conceive of a man walking away from her for another woman.

About the Author
T. F. Sisters holds several advanced degrees and has traveled extensively throughout the world. It is from these travels and years of experience in law, psychology, medicine, corporate management and everyday life that the plot for Deadly Brew, a first work of fiction, was developed. Sisters, who was born in southeastern Oklahoma and spent the early years there with family, presently commutes between Tennessee and Oklahoma, and is currently completing a second mystery.
