About the Book

Combining terrorism, sabotage, ultra-high technology, science and psychology, this novel provides humorous and critical insight into the emerging world of the 21st Century. The native beauty of New Mexico is contrasted with the technology of the largest chip factory in the world: Winsome Semiconductor Corporation’s Fab 13.

A young and attractive attorney, Irma Laches, is thrown by an unthinkable act of terrorism into a world of international intrigue. She must work with old-fashioned Albuquerque detective Larry Softhousen, Albuquerque Medical Examiner Mercedes Easter, and factory manager Charles Chen to unravel the mystery which threatens to destroy Winsome.

Author Leigh S. Gettier, engineer and attorney, was employed at Intel Corporation’s Fab 7 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, for twelve years. Authentic detail permeates this fast-paced adventure, making it a technical tour de force.
