Don’t Be Another Abuse StatisticAuthor tells her own harrowing tale as domestic abuse victim to aid fellow women (and even men)
FAIR BLUFF, N.C.—
“Some will be extremely shocked with (my) candor, honesty and straightforwardness. However … it is time to reveal the startling and astounding truth,” she writes.
Finally, "OBSESSED" (chronicles) her inspirational escape and long journey to recovery.
From physical and emotional bondage to recovery, Hilton has walked a troubled path, but now hopes to touch the lives of abuse victims with her poignant story. “I hope captives who feel trapped and engulfed in the depth and darkest pit of despair, emotional, and psychological trauma, and can see no way out, will read this incredible story. It can set you free from a lifestyle of pain and suffering and give you hope for the future”, she writes.
Hilton was raised in Fair Bluff, N.C., by her grandparents. Following high school, she left her hometown and lived in Wyoming, Alaska, Texas, California and South Carolina. Four decades later, she returned to Fair Bluff, N.C., where she currently resides.
About the Author
JUNE HILTON is the mother of two girls, Joey and Joni whom she reared alone, and the grandmother of four handsome boys. Colby is twenty-four years old, David, twelve, Austin, eight, and Gable is five.
June has acquired an extraordinary, perceptive awareness and form of strength, willingness and desire that she has never experienced before by rededicating her life to Jesus Christ, and that awareness has rekindled her hope and created an inspiring, overpowering enthusiasm and compulsion to perform a feat of perfection in her life. Her disappointments, frustrations and anxieties can only turn into better things ahead.
June recalls the hurts and the tears she shed in writing her book Obsessed/With a Vision of Hope.
Many people may ask what would a flexible, meek and simple person like JUNE HILTON have to write about? MORE THAN PLENTY!
In this book she tells of her anguish, her perplexingly entangled involvement and the traumatized failure of her second marriage. The pinpricking pain, the intense heartaches and enormous struggles caused from the betrayal of the most important adult figure in her life, her husband. A person whom she loved, trusted and admired; with his intricate and irate nature, turned against her with insurmountable spite, ironically addicted malice and brutality, that spewed out at her like poisonous venom and brought her degradation and shame.
Friends whom she respected and placed in her confidence turned against her and progged at her mortal wounds.
OBSESSED/WITH A VISION OF HOPE is June's first book. Some will be extremely shocked with her candor, honesty and straightforwardness. However, she feels that it is time to reveal the startling and astounding truth.
