About the Book

A newspaper ad inviting responses from college graduates, under thirty, involving extensive travel, some danger and original thinking get the attention of Nicholas McGuire, a Philadelphia lawyer, who dropped out after his fiancée, the beautiful Alexis McCardle, abruptly dumped him and instead married the wealthy Brison Maxwell, a Main Line blue blood.

McGuire decodes the secret message in the ad, cleverly outfoxes his competition and is given the job by his interviewer, Amos Creekmur, agent for an undisclosed employer.

The task: to take delivery of keys to a Philadelphia bank safe deposit box, a key in each of five locations: Hong Kong; Bali; Jakarta; Singapore; and Paris. All five keys are required to open the box. A string of killings accompany the keys, and what looked like an opportunity to make some easy money now looks very much like McGuire joining the dead messengers before he can return to Philadelphia. McGuire's travels bring him in contact with Mr. Thang, the Singapore multi billionaire; "hungry ghosts"; the coolly beautiful Doctor Tam Shishu; the vibrant Gabrielle and the lovely Alexis McCardle now married to Main Line millionaire, and former Ambassador to China, Brison Maxwell. What is in the safe deposit box that would bring about the murder of three Chinese messengers, two beautiful women, and threaten the presidency of Henry Blade Steward?

This book is written and designed to be read cover-to-cover on any coast-to-coast airline trip. It can easily be completely read on almost any international flight, especially one to the Orient.
