About the Author
Ivy Rose Nightscales (she of the poetic, English name) proves that she has the sensitivity and lyrical ability to craft fine literary work with this marvelous book. Born in London, England she experienced the blitz as a young child. At the age of nine she immigrated to Canada with her parents and brother. At twenty-seven she moved to the United States. Among her life experiences she frequently became involved in social causes such as women’s rights, civil rights, the anti-war movement as well as other issues. (She once interviewed the Black Panthers.) As a single parent she put herself through school and graduated with commendations from Antioch University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts. She has always loved writing and her literary voice – fresh and brave – needs to be heard.
