PREFACE

The writing of Inspirational Poetry Plus Lots More came to me in a vision in the early 90’s.  I can recall very vividly the most beautiful poem being recited that appeared on a wall...line by line it was read with great authority and power.  The writing on the wall was vague but the audible voice was awesome to hear. Seconds later, there was music after the recitation of the poem.  I began thinking to myself that the poem had been set to the most delightful and stunning music that was pleasing to the ear.  I remembered saying, “Lord, I’ll write for You”.

I began reflecting on some of the most beautiful poetry that is found in the Word of God. I, therefore, began writing that same day as the Lord revealed and put in my Spirit of what He wanted me to write. I used my Bible to gather and recollect thoughts and themes for each poem respectively.

Section One consists of a collection of poetry that I have written over the years.  I decided to entitle my book Inspirational Poetry because the poems have been such an inspiration. They have encouraged and inspired my heart, soul and mind to the fullest, with God being the Author and myself being the writer! I thank God for my staying focused and for giving me the inspiration to write, not only for Him but for all of His people of all color, creed and nationalities.

The Lord took what was in my hand, which was a pen and used it to His honor and glory. I thank Him for anointing my pen, computer as well as myself. It is the anointing that makes the difference. I thank Him for the Holy Ghost! It was not in my wildest dream or imagination that one day my poetry along with other great ideas that the Lord has laid upon my heart would be put in-print and shared with a multitude of people. Many family members, co-workers and friends have been tremendously blessed over the years.

 They have also shared this anointed poetry with their families and friends. I felt that it was beneficial to me and that it would, therefore, be helpful, motivational and a blessing to others as well since it came from God above. I give God all the Honor, Praise and Glory! I thank Him for my being a vessel of honor to write and my willingness to have accepted the great challenge of this poetical works. I knew that I could do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthen me. There are, however, many professional writers that could do a better job...but I thank God for CHOOSING ME and my being AVAILABLE. He is to be Magnified and Glorified!

The dual purpose of this Book is: Firstly, to inspire, encourage, motivate and uplift EVERYONE who readeth. Secondly, the readers will have a willing, open mind to accept Jesus as Lord in their lives if they have not already made this most important decision in his/her life. Jesus is ready to SAVE, HEAL and DELIVER. The plan and objective of this book is that the reader will seek SALVATION and the Scriptures will come alive and flourish in your everyday lives.

There were many stumblingblocks and obstacles to completely stop me from writing this book. I was faced with much opposition and hindered by great strongholds. I applied the Word of God in binding every stronghold in the name of Jesus and releasing and loosing His great power because NO weapon formed against me shall prosper or succeed. I am grateful to God for His giving me power from on high and the perseverance to continue to complete the book. One of the greatest lessons that I learned during this ordeal or duration of the book is that whatever you do for the Lord, be it small or great, there will be great hindering forces to try to steal, kill and ultimately destroy YOU as well as the works of the Lord. I have found out that the greater the blessing is, the greater the struggle will be. I thank God for my having the victory over the enemy and being more than a conqueror and overcomer by the blood of Jesus Christ and by the Word of my testimony. There is victory in prayer and satan is a

 defeated foe! Section Two I have chosen Fill-in-the blanks to complete the scriptures from the King James Version of the Bible to familiarize the reader with some powerful and profound scriptures that can be used on a daily basis in combating the adversary/enemy. The Word is our sword! I have found that the Scriptures worked for me and I know that they will work for you also, only if you allow them. I have also included a Bible scripture or reference to go along with most of the poems. Section Three includes Word-Find puzzles for both the Old and New Testament Books of the Bible. They are made fun, exciting and interesting so that the reader will be able to visualize and recognize the sixty-six books of the Bible...(39) books in the Old Testament and (27) books in the New Testament. You, the reader will be able to master and memorize them in their chronological order in relation to other books surrounding them. Section Four deals with Unscrambling Biblical Characters challenging the reader to find as many characters in the Bible as they possibly can without referring to the answers at the end of this section. This section calls for special effort or diligence on behalf of the reader; however, some characters are more complex and challenging than others. I have given you the beginning letter of each of the characters to put you on the right track. I have included extra blank note sheets in the back of the book for your use, if you desire. Section Five I am sharing with you, the reader, some of my favorite scriptures in the Bible. I have many, many more but I just wanted to share these at this time. You can use these Scriptures as Devotional Daily Readings. These readings have been a great blessing and inspiration to me. I thank God that I am now giving to YOU what He has freely given to me.
