Can there be a more noble cause than the advancement
of truth, than the bettering of humanity and the uplifting of those less
fortunate than ourselves? I think not. Were men to focus only on their own
needs, then their dreams and horizons would diminish. Yet by seeing beyond to
the beleaguered masses of the world and lending a hand of help and hope, the
greatness of a nation is revealed. It is the undaunted pioneer spirit that
takes on new challenges and new territories to conquer despite the cost. It is compassion
that seeks to share the joy, wonder & blessings of the journey with other
people. It is freedom that allows this to be possible. Here in America we have
been highly privileged to be a part of such a cherished chain of events in our
history. But America’s pursuit of life, liberty and happiness has cost it the
pearl of great price – the hallowed blood of its fallen sons and daughters.
First by drops then by gallons then in quantities so great that it became
immeasurable. This road to freedom has been a crimson causeway exposing the
hidden anarchy that opposes such a way of life. This dark force seeks its own
impudent, self-serving agenda, usually at the cost of much misery on the part
of others. Only truth can set a man free from it lest he be bound by the
darkness of his own prejudice, imagination and ignorance. Wars are won by
keeping your opponent in the dark concerning the reality of the battlefield.
Tyrannical governments stay in power by doing the same with their subjects –
keeping the truth from them. The power of lies exists and is fed by the
presence of darkness. Lies are like mythical vampires that live in the dark
places and feed off of the living, slowly taking their very life from them. Its
end is death and destruction--. more often than not with bloodshed. When a lie
is exposed to the light of truth, it quickly dies like the mythical vampire.
The power of truth exists and is fed by an atmosphere of freedom. This can come
to the soul and spirit of a person even if there is physical bondage. For
example, a man can be free in his mind and have peace even though he is
incarcerated behind bars. We say that America has a spirit of freedom but in
reality, it is a spirit of light that shatters darkness. This is why the powers
of darkness hate us so much. The light exposes the treachery of their lies.
When the truth is made clear, their power is diminished. The brighter a
streetlight is at night, the greater the number of nocturnal insects you can
witness. The greater a nations righteous freedom (light), the more
prolific will be the swarming of the bugs of darkness about it. The hidden
anarchy that is at work throughout the world has as its main goal the absolute
destruction of light (freedom). This is why any righteous nation or
people who have won the right to be free, have done so at the cost of much
blood.
Men march to war through dirt and mud,
The road to freedom’s paved with blood.
Upon these hallowed paths we tread,
Our rights come from these honored dead.
True freedom fighters are not driven by compulsion (force)
but with compassion (love). Freedom’s light is the doorway to the house
of compassion where men learn the more noble qualities of life – loving your
neighbor as yourself, doing good unto others, etc. This same love can be found
in soldiers on many battlefields throughout the ages who gave their last ounce
of courage & last drop of blood for the lives of their fellow comrades so
that they could live. Greater love can no man have than to give his life for
his friends. The world honors such deeds with medals of valor, Congressional
medals of Honor, purple hearts and the like.
