About the Book

Once you pick this book up you’ll never want to put it down.  It will have a special place next to your bed and in your heart where you can always turn to the worn pages and find a little comfort after a weary day. This book picks you up and sweeps you along on a poetic journey guided by the author and his own experiences in life.  We bare witness to the emotional highs and lows, accomplishments and losses that enrich and ultimately deepen the soul.  Whether Schutz is describing the lush and rugged beauty of his home state of Texas or with truthful words trying to unravel the often-twisted lines of love he never fails to grab our attention and bring out the simple truths in everyday life.  If we could be so fortunate as to carry with us just a few of the ideas and lessons found hidden here within these pages then we might indeed be on our way to a better path in life.  At the end of the day, at the end of the road we all find ourselves on a similar path.  All we can hope for is the best along the way.

About the Author

L.F. Schutz is a native Texan. Born and raised in Bay City, a small town along the     Gulf Coast, where he still has deep roots to this day.  He spent his childhood dreaming of action and adventure in far away lands and exotic locals. Later on, when he was older, he began working to make those dreams become a reality.  After graduating from high school Schutz enlisted in the United States Air Force where he, upon completion of training, was assigned as an intelligence analyst.  He served a tour in the Persian Gulf and worked with the other military services on joint assignments, all the while striving to further his formal education.  Schutz eventually applied for and was accepted to the coveted Early Release Program, where he separated from the Air Force and attended South West Texas State University.  After graduating with a Bachelors degree Schutz returned to the Air Force as a commissioned officer.  He is ever searching for the next adventure that is coming down the road.

L. F. Schutz has received several awards and recognitions both in and out of the service and has twice, in 1991 and 1992, received honors from the United States Achievement Academy.
