About the Book

A foreboding cloud of despair hovers in the background.  Hope recants her life with Chase McCain starting with their first meeting at the grocery store where she was employed.  Hope, a young mother of two little boys, is trapped in an abusive marriage.  Chase, a psychology major and recovering drug addict, lives with his ex-fiancé.  Despite their burdensome backgrounds the two quickly fall in love--

Chase is the gilded tale of a captivating young man, told by the woman that adores him.  Once penetrating the plated exterior, in the guise of a passe romantic adventure, numerous shrouded layers are exposed.  Varying aspects of humanity itself are in question with the turn of every page, and by the final chapter, one is compelled to find out the fate of Chase, while pondering fate’s very existence.

About the Author

She began writing in her early teens after an inspiring journey through Great Britain, exploring various techniques and genres in high school and college.  During that time she wrote several short stories for a few genre-based publications.  Once leaving the fantastic world of college, she entered into the tragic realities of working in social services.  The horror she witnessed on a daily basis transformed her literary style.  Dickens’ opium addicts, and Shakespeare’s fratricidal villains suddenly were resurrected in her mind.  Chase, was birthed onto paper as a result.  Like the British paragons she admires, Krista’s belief in God is strong.  Her ethics may be traditional, yet her writing is cutting-edge, controversial, and not for the faint of heart.
