Humiliated
Stepped on my heart; you have
Thought your actions would not break me
Yet I found that with every step
Wisdom came to save me
Humiliated all I stood for
As if I were nothing in your eyes
Respect has gone against
All your foolish cries
How could you be so bold
As to say I do not care
Your voice exasperates me
Shut it! I cannot bare
For when love is earned
Then respect is given
When you can read through my eyes
Then you shall be forgiven
Until then, you shall never doubt
The power inside my eyes
I can see through you
I can read your lies
So, please don’t make me hate
All you stand for in my heart
For then your soul
I would have to tare apart
Stepped on my heart; you have
Thought your actions would not break me
Yet I found that with every step
Wisdom came to save me.
Provoked
Provoked me
Is what you have done
And for that
I shall simply leave you alone
I should have the right
To rip out your heart
And say nothing more
Just simply depart
But I ask;
Have you gone mad?
To bring out in me
All that is bad?
You fool!
Why must you fail to see?
The damage I can do
That hides inside of me
Must you bring out the monster
That I have locked with such care?
And let out the rage
That you, yourself could not bare?
Do you really want to see?
Do you really want to feel?
The draft of my anguish
The anger I won’t reveal
What will it take?
For you to know
That it is my silence
That keeps me low
That to prove myself
I don’t have to do
Not to anyone
Especially not you
Provoke me if you will
With everything that you have
But I shall turn away
And in your face laugh
For the time will come
When I will open the door
You will feel destruction
And nothing more.

About the Book
Love Beyond All Boundaries is a series of poetry
reflecting on all aspects of love. The
passion and desire. The lust and
burning fire. The beginning and the end.
I pray that this book attracts all ages because no
matter the age, we all look for love and comfort at some time. This book also focuses on love and
inspiration. The downfalls and the
heart of my life. It tells all the emotions
people feel yet are afraid to express.
It shall take your imagination into a different level. From this; you can learn to love, abstain
from hate and reform your heart.
Love Beyond All Boundaries shall not only captivate
your mind, but it will take you on a journey beyond that--.unimaginable.
About the Author
Teishla Lorenzo currently works as a Hairdresser/
Cosmetologist . She is also working on
her second degree as Paralegal. “ Love Beyond All Boundaries” is her first
book. She is currently working on two
others. “Chronicles of a Broken Heart “ and an inspirational book which has yet
to be titled. Her poems have been
published in different poetry books which have also won awards.
Teishla took an interest in poetry when she heard
her father read his poetry to her. How
he expressed his love for his family. She knew then that poetry would become
her passion. As she grew older, she
started taking interest in poets such as Edgar Allen Poe, William Shakespear
and many more. She never thought that writing would become such a big part of
her life. She quotes “I think that it
is amazing how one can turn feelings and fears into a work of art. A way in which everyone who reads it can
understand and actually feel the thought that is being written. I thank God for giving me such a beautiful
gift. With all this; I have learned
that life is not a poem but reality.”
Teishla Lorenzo resides in Meriden CT.
