Just God And Me

Before time there was eternity. Somewhere in the annals of eternity, the Holy Spirit presented your name to the counsel of the trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). God, in his interminable wisdom, gave you a divine assignment that you would have to account for in the judgment. He predetermined every aspect of your life and sojourn on this earth. He carefully selected your parents, siblings, relatives, and your earthly profession. He meticulously chose your soul mate and the number of children you were to have…all this before the foundation of the world. Believe me when I say that you are special…you are special!

Upon the selection and presentation of your name, God established a fatherly bond with you that only you can break. No one else on earth means a much to him as you do. He thinks of no one else as much as he does you. In fact, he loves you so that he has your name inscribed in the palm of his hand (not that he would forget it) to show you that all earthly and eternal decisions are made with you in mind.

Can you see why God is so jealous when it comes to having you all to himself? He becomes enraged when you attempt to have him and Satan too. Satan has done nothing for you but make your life a living hell; consequently he causes all the wrongs, hurts and pains of your life.

To mold your character and personage to be like him (God), God will lay a life’s trail to a place called, “Solitary Refinement.” Solitary Refinement is a place beyond the public’s eye…a place where fasting, prayer and Word study is the main course of the day…a place where prayer prevails and most of all, a place where God can have you all to himself.

Every giant of the faith, from Moses to Jesus Christ, all had one thing in common (among many things); they walked with God in Solitary Refinement, each of them ventured into a personal wilderness where all the holy men, preceding them, were purged for God’s lofty plans.

In Solitary, God imparted to these great men his wisdom, anointing and power. They were powerful in public but they met God in private. Moses opened the Red Sea in public but he met God on the backside of the desert.

Elijah, disconnected Ahab and Jezebel’s water (it rained not for 3 years and 6 months) and later reconnected it. That’s what I call power! Where did he get such power? Simple. He was a graduate of the school of Solitary Refinement.

In God’s presence is the place you want to be…a secret place, a place where Satan refuses to enter… beneath the shadows of the Almighty. Here, (this secret place) there is no curse, aggravation, staying up at night and worrying about the disasters foreboding. All your cares are placed in his hand as he mold you for your life’s assignment. Here, you will learn prevailing prayer…prayers that are answered according to the will of God.

You will discover your purpose in this life and come to know and understand the will of God.

Your friends and enemies will envy you as they behold that you are almost unaffected by the many hazards of life. While they’re “losing it all”…needing drugs and alcohol to calm their nerves, pills to sleep and wakeup and Psychiatrists to help them find comfort of mind, you’ll be laying down in green pastures and walking beside still waters. They will wonder and enquire as to how you are able to walk through the valley of the shadow of death…its just God and you.

Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me

(Isaiah 49:16).
