“So typically human Green! Let me share
with you an immortal secret. For
centuries you people have complained, have whined, constantly bickering on how
your pathetic lives have been going nowhere.
You have successfully killed each other, stolen from each other,
betrayed each other, coveted each other.
How tough your lives have been!
And all of you are so stupid and ignorant, and, at the same time, you
blame and tear down your own God and creator before you. At times you invent other Gods and stop believing
in your creator entirely. A lot of you
commit suicide. You souls are pathetic
and weak. The answer in your lives is
simple. Live them! You have created envy, competition, jealousy,
and are choking each other out. What all
you humans fail to realize is that you are all built with a predisposition to
do evil. None of you are inherently
do-gooders. From your highest saints in
your churches, to the Buddhist monks over in the east, I’m the one pulling your
strings. I’m constantly intervening as you
probably already know, and to my delight, I have won over billions of your
souls. You don’t deserve this you
say? From the moment you are born you
deserve everything that happens to you, whether or not you interpret it as bad
or good. Here’s a little secret. Heaven or hell just becomes a law of
probabilities. They’re equal
sanctuaries. Who says one is right and
one is wrong. You will spend the rest of
eternity here being tortured and suffering because of a choice you made. You betrayed your Creator by getting into bed
with and dealing with the devil.

About the Book
Dan
Green’s life had changed for the worse when he was coerced to sell out his soul
to the Devil. After spending several
years of his life in college following in his father’s footsteps, a world –
renowned theologian, the course of his life had unexpectedly altered beyond
reproach when his father was murdered.
The killer professed to be possessed by the Devil. In despair, Dan dropped out of school and
began to lead a life of drug dealing and alcohol abuse. He had driven himself to the degree where his life had
been put into a compromising position.
Having a fiendish interest in his soul, the Dark Lord bargained with Dan
to save his life, in exchange for his eternal service to darkness. Dan, seeing no other recourse, offered
himself as the Devil’s porthole to reign over the realm of earth. Setting out tasks for Dan that would change
past, present, and future events on earth, The Devil had planned to finally
interrupt the balance between the forces of good & evil forever. This book will keep you wondering if the age
– old “good over evil” will prevail, in its design to relate to the human
condition of decision-making and temptation in our lives.
About the Author
Evan
Chassikos is a public school teacher who specializes
in writing short story fiction. He has
been writing short stories for adults, young adults, and children for the last
20 years. Out of the many tales he has
published over the years, he has chosen the piece “Dealing With
The Devil” first written in 1997, as a project for expansion into a
larger work. This task has been
undertaken as an appeal, to those readers who have written back to the author,
asking him to expand some of his short stories into a novel.
