About the Book

The story of two powerful and wealthy families who hail from Baltimore, Maryland:  the Anderson’s and Ray’s.  The bonding of these families started more than fifty years ago and continues today through marriages and the business empire they founded together.  The unfolding of this story starts when two complex souls, Anthony and Krystina, meet while working on a criminal case and later married.  However, danger, secrets, deception and blackmail tear them apart.  After filing for divorce, Krystina flees the country only to return home when she discovers her sister is on trial for murder.  The person her sister is being accused of killing is a wanted felon who happens to be the ex-boyfriend of Krystina.  Fearful of exposing her past but knowing her sister is innocent, Krystina decides to testify.  Before she can testify, Anthony, who she now believes is her ex-husband, intercedes.  Krystina realizes she must face and tell him what happened on that fateful day.  Once the secrets are revealed, will her reunion with her family be short lived or will love be enough to sustain them through this latest crisis and keep them a family forever?

About the Author

Cynthia Mason is in her forties and hails from Baltimore, Maryland.  She currently works for the Federal Government in Washington, D.C.  The concept to write her first novel started seven years ago when she held a job that called on her to use writing skills.  After in depth research, plenty of frustration and procrastination, she was able to create a breakdown of characters and come up with a believable story.  She completed her manuscript in 2002; shared it with her family and received positive feedback.  Because of this remarkable experience, she has started her next manuscript and hope to complete it in 2004.   She hopes her readers will enjoy this novel as much as she enjoyed writing it.
