“Welcome, belong.”
says the distant voice strangely, “For
centuries here and we’ve waited.”
Haunting the image, yet faintly familiar, I slowly approach
with my fists clenched and trembling.
“What is it that
troubles ye, teary-eyed walker?
Was ever it worth all your sorrow?”
Awkward and long down eternal road slowly; I walk toward the
specters before me.
“Long we’ve been
watching, ye weary-mind dreamer. Long
we’ve awaited and seen.”
I feel my fear fading to warmth in this clearing. My destiny breathes and is feeling.
