About the Author

The author is an international sportsman who has sought hunting and fishing adventures over the last thirty years in the diminishing wilderness areas of the world.  He has been a hunter since the age of five when his father put a bow in his hand and taught him how to use it.  He graduated from Whittier College in 1972 and is currently the Division Director of the high risk offender division of San Bernardino California Probation.  He has taken several extensive African safaris with both bow and rifle. The author is a member of numerous conservation organizations.  The author has explored the Amazon River basin, the Canadian Northwest and Alaskan wilderness.  He has collected over 200 big game animals from exotic locations around the world.  He has fished extensively in Hawaii, Mexico, Tahiti, Caribbean and the Pacific coast.  Marlin, sailfish, swordfish, dorado, tuna and shark comprise a few of his fishing exploits.
