Everyday life is filled with heartaches and pains. At any stage of life, a person will experience some sort of hardship. Some people have a difficult childhood of abuse or poverty. Others may have grown up in a perfect environment only to realize that life isn’t perfect. Life is filled with decisions that directly or indirectly affect you and others.
Our lives could be compared to city streets of narrow curves, roadblocks, stop signs, and dead ends. It becomes difficult really to know if we are on the best street that would benefit our lives. Some streets that appear to be appropriate tend to turn into another street. The potholes may cause us to fall, delaying our destination.
What part of life motivates us to keep traveling down the road? As the streets age over the years, so do we. What else could we look forward to besides old age and grandchildren? Is there more to life than the 60, 70, or 80 years of living on this earth? Does life offer more than being born into a world of uncertainty, growing up in a society that only cares about itself, and dying in a world where you will be soon forgotten?
The Bible offers promises that if we take the road of righteousness, we can expect abundant living. The road of righteousness will lead to a new kingdom and a new earth. The streets to our earthly living are made out of granite and are always in need of repair, but our new kingdom will be paved with gold that lasts throughout eternity. What is prepared for us if we give God our heart? How do we know or are guaranteed that there is greater life after death?
I am writing this book under the inspiration of God’s Holy Spirit. I believe our Father, who is in heaven, has prepared so many beautiful things for His children to inherit. Many people who don’t know the Lord don’t realize that they can experience great life now and a greater life after death. Many Christians also are not aware of the abundant life promised to them.
Adam and Eve were given abundant life but lost it through Satan’s deception and their disobedience. Life for Adam and Eve was to keep and dress the Garden of Eden and to enjoy the fellowship of each other and God. Literally, God prepared a flawless life for man. God wanted man to be holy like He is holy. Man’s disobedience in the garden caused a lack of abundant life and a loss of eternal life. Because of sin entering into the world, our lives as we know it today are very different than the life we could have been experiencing with God.
The life that we lost will be given back to us by God, our Father. Jesus went away to prepare a place for His people so that we can take back the life that the devil stole. This is why we live for Jesus Christ. Through faith in Jesus, we gain eternal life and will reap the benefits from living righteously, if we do not faint. The life that we are seeking will last forever and be full and complete. The devil cannot steal it from us.
Many Christians are unaware of what God has prepared for them: rewards, benefits for being a life-long member, treasures of His glory and wealth, insurance that covers you throughout eternity, crowns for dignitaries, abundant living, and many other pleasures of the good life. Before the fall of Adam and Eve, God preordained a wonderful life for His people. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 tells us, “But as it was written, eye hath not seen, nor ear, neither hath entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea the deep things of God.”
God has revealed through His word what the new godly kingdom will be like. Through Christ, we have the hope of living a more excellent life in the kingdom to come. Through Christ, we have the hope that one day we will not have to be governed or live in a world of principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).

This book was written with you in mind. People need to understand that there is something more to life than what our five senses says there is. Our lives were delicately designed to live longer than 40, 60 or even 100 years. God put way too much work and effort into forming us out of His own image and originally placing us in a paradise. Every good father wants the best for his children and works hard to give them what he never had. How much more will God the Father give unto those who give their heart to Him? God wants us to experience the greatness and glory of what He has. Be mindful that every good and perfect gift that we have experienced is only just a taste of what is prepare for us. The feelings that we have on our 18th birthday, the relief of stress the day after our retirement, the satisfaction that we experience after accomplishing a goal and the joy and excitement of a dream come true can not compare with our final destination; Heaven …...Eternal Living.
