THROUGH ONE MANS EYE’S
Words of expression in this book I have placed,
Quiet thoughts and idle moments in my mind I have chased.
Reason with rhyme to put together one mans view,
To share it and captivate interest, to let my heart and mind, guide me through.
Many thoughts I have put here, many a silent time has been spent,
Time that was well devoted, for a purpose it was meant.
I speak from my heart; my opinions are all mine,
My views and expressions placed carefully with each line.
I talk of many things, day to day living, the struggles of life,
The working man and woman my family and friends, husband and wife.
Memories and life struggles the everyday fights,
The dreams, the dream wishes, all the wrongs and the rights.
Time caught with a moment of reflection put to word from one man,
With many a minute seated in thought from my pen to my hand.
I hope when you read this I have captured your attention,
And with every page you turn, a part of you here I have gave mention.
In to my world of living, a life with a you and a me,
An expression of living that through one mans eye’s I do see.
A BATTLE FIELD OF ONE
Wars are fought on battlefields and many lives are lost,
to fight in need or for hate and greed an ending life it does cost.
Not all wars are fought in the field with an enemy in sight,
but in our minds, for deep inside there is an individual fight.
Everyday we wage our war, to love and live and move on,
to put the pieces of life together with a foundation to build upon.
As hard as life is we keep instep on life’s long and winding road,
Its give and take with life at stake no promises we are owed.
But in my mind the wheels of thinking and thought push me on my way,
another breath another step, I live and breathe today.
At the end of the day I lay down my arms and put emotion to rest,
for this tired mind somehow fell behind but

About the Book
This book contains many a days living. It touches on me and you and everything around us. Our relationships our boredom and the day to day working grind things that you don’t normally think about or that we take for granted. Sickness and death, the heartache we feel the simple things that are right there for the taking but yet we don’t seek their find, the little things that happen from sunrise to sunset, the many personalities and our undying regret. Things that brew in our minds or that we stumble upon by chance, heartfelt words put down on paper for others to see. An expression in rhyme, words of expression from me.
About the Author
I am a simple man who values simple things. I write of my experiences in life, of family, work, laughter, and the misgivings and heartaches of this world. Heart is everything, and when you speak it from this place it can bring and mean so much to you and everybody around you. I often stop and think about what’s happening around me and in me, and I believe in the power of one’s word and the effect it can have if we only take time to listen to it. I have written on my lunch and break times at work, valuing my time. All my experiences are important especially the simple ones. With pen in hand, I continue to write; through one man’s eyes I see.
