Everything was coming into

began considering what model of new car he would be purchasing, with cash. Phil began thinking about where he would
invest his share for the best interest return, until he could do some serious
investing. He had a stock broker friend
who really was good at picking stocks.
Phil had always thought that he would let Mike have a hundred grand to
play the market for him, if he ever came into serious money. Then there were the thoughts about helping
the other kids that certainly sweetened the anticipation. Phil imagined their surprise and delight at
the news that their Pop had hit it big and was willing to share his good
fortune.

About the Book
The “GAMBIAN AFFAIR” is a true
story of how unscrupulous native West Africans attempt to take advantage of
good hearted, but gullible, American businessmen who, in their desire to “hit
it big”, with emotions ruling, let down the barriers of common sense. The reader will be both amused and horrified
at the events as they are authentically chronicled. A bizarre turn of events at the end will
certainly give the reader something to think about for a long time. African names, dates and places are authentic
as is all the correspondence. Only the
names and places of the Americans involved have been changed.
About the Author
Paul Olson, 70, is an incurable entrepreneur who started his career by owning a cable TV company in the early 60’s. He has since been a real estate broker, stock broker, insurance agent, financier and shop owner. Paul’s love of books and reading had always engendered him with a hankering to write. When he became closely involved with the “Gambian Affair” details, he felt it would be a terrific tale to tell, and his opportunity to launch into yet another career.
