About the Book

Raymond Triplett. a wealthy businessman faced with crushing financial ruin, is suddenly confronted by long-repressed images from a traumatic childhood. A shadowy figure, who emerges to defend and protect him, reveals a stunning secret. A surge of events collide, motivating ordinary people to react in ways they would not have dreamed possible. Murder, suspense, greed and sexual indiscretion enmesh an array of unforgettable characters who rationalize individual survival for elusive happiness. This is a story that exemplifies that many lives can be derailed by one individual succumbing to a single temptation. When acted upon, at first, it might seem to be inconsequential, however the long range effects upon many people is catastrophic. It is also the story of “good” people who could not imagine condoning murder, but given certain circumstances would not hesitate, if in their belief, the act became necessary. Such are the people of Clintonville, swept along in an out of control series of events, as the merry-go-round of life turns and the music plays on.
