About the Book

Stanley Thomas, the protagonist from the novelette, A Love Supreme returns.  Suffering the effects of a failed marriage, Stan becomes even more sensitive to the plight of the underprivileged, specifically minority victims of police brutality.  Stan uses his contacts to assemble a highly skilled task force to directly confront the renegade cops and give them a dose of their own medicine.  In doing so, Stan and the other members of the Purification Project come to realize how pervasive the hatred is, and that like matter, it cannot be destroyed but merely transformed.  Aside from the battle, the story is laced with good jazz, gourmet cooking and, of course, a healthy dose of romance.

About the Author

As a follow-up to his first book, A Love Supreme, S.A. Taylor continues the chronicles of his protagonist, Stan Thomas.  This time Stan has both a mission and an attitude.  Taylor grew up in a working class, middle income community that was racially integrated.  He went on to earn his B.S. Degree in Psychology with a strong background in Science.  Taylor has worked in Mental Health, Managed a Drivers License Office, worked for the U.S. General Accounting Office (G.A.O.), worked for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture and for the past 18 years, as a Social Worker.  Taylor has learned sensitivity to the plight of the underclass and the disabled.  He has observed and fought against racism, classism, hypocrisy and a “Mean Spiritedness”, all of which he views as the greatest threats to America’s future.
