5:00 The sun should have been coming up at this time, but the sky was still dark. Although there was light coming from cars headlights, the city had a kind of dingy glow. Granny was just walking, not sure where.The earth began shaking and then not, within seconds of each other. Remembering the shaking that night, she thought it was starting to happen again. But this seemed different. Living in L.A. she was use to earthquakes, but she had never felt one like this. It didn’t seem to stop, it just kept shaking off and on. As she was walking, she noticed it was letting up. Turning around and walking back it was stronger. This got her curiosity going. She decided to see where it was coming from. Following it, it became stronger. Walking was very difficult. Looking off to her side she saw a man, going in the same direction. Seeing how rough of a time Granny was having, he reach out and grabbed Granny’s arm. She wasn’t alarmed. Somehow she could tell he was a kind person, besides what kind of person looks for an earthquake. Most of the people there, were trying to get away from it. This didn’t stop their determination to find out where it was coming from. It led them into an alley where they saw it’s source. It was a little girl lying in a box. As she shivered the earth shook. Almost immediately the young man took off his jacket and put it over the little girl and the shaking came to a stop.
