About the Book
In the dark of the night, when all should be quiet, you hear a faint sound. Could it be a fly buzzing? A rat scuttling across the floor? A cat hissing in the distance? You try to find a more settling answer, but your imagination runs wild with visions of demons, monsters, or something worse…something pure evil. What is written in these pages may just drive you to the brink if you’re not careful. Steel your mind. Get ready for a trip to the edge of Insanity. Be ready for the truth you may discover about those noises you hear in your darkened house.
About the Author
Tenni Shoe is an up-and-comer in the short story horror-writing industry, and has been likened by readers to greats like Poppy Z. Brite. At USColo, she excelled in English at the top of her class with essays on subjects like interstellar graveyards and astral projection. She is also a published poet and member of a local poetry society, writing sonnets on subjects as dark as her stories. She describes her work as “satirically gruesome”, rather than “horrific”. While some are able to see the humor in her works, most are shocked and terrified by them. Her own grandparents once jokingly called her “the next Jeffry Dahmer.” She is currently working on a poetry compilation and a juvenile thriller novella.
