Ubiquitous.
I just love that word
(but I would not
like to get it
in a spelling bee contest).
The dictionary says
it means everywhere
but it says it
with such panache
(that’s another good word).
Ubiquitous.
She was ubiquitous
(see, I used it
in a sentence)
and that day
she really was.
We went to
a local lamp store
and my wife
knew all the sales clerks.
Joy had designed
the placement of
her
on her kitchen wall.
Another clerk
had helped her
to repost and rewire
two antique
Staffordshire
lamps she had bought
at an auction.
A third clerk said hello
(they were all
there at the
same time;
it was like
dodging paint balls
or so I would imagine).
Susan had told her
about new accessories
that had just arrived
and might be of interest.
And then there was
Frank,
the owner of the store,
who was
busy packing up
various items
she had bought
on a prior visit.
They sure were
glad to see
my wife that day.
She was
ubiquitous.
To me
it means
buys a lot.
