The Other Three Little Pigs

About the Book

The standard tale of the Three Little Pigs serves as a take-off for this little story of Jimmy, Johnny, and Jude as they interact with their mother, the carriers of straw, sticks, and cloy, and the wolf. The violence of the original account gives way in this version to naivety combined with the good manners every loving mother would wish to impart to her brood. It is hoped that the natural fruit of this life-style will induce the young reader to try the "golden rule" in real life.

About the Author

As an author I am, as yet, unpublished. Most of my literary work has been in connection with obtaining a PhD. in music composition with a minor in philosophy. Of course keeping up with the lives and fortunes of ten children and their families by email involves a lot of writing. They are scattered from Spokane to Texas and from Los Angeles to Richmond.

I wrote a symphonic suite memorializing the great Rodeo-Chedeski forest fire that ravaged so much of central Arizona in 2003. The suite is copyrighted and was performed in July of 2004.

As a teacher for over 30 years and a parent and grandparent (and great grandparent) I have had extensive concern for the rearing of children and have an awareness of the impact of today''s environment upon their character. It is this concern that has prompted me to write this little book.
