AND THE CLOUDS PARTED

I feel Revelation 19:11-16 put the Lord’s return so well that I just quoted it word for word from Tim Lahaye’s Prophecy Study Bible. These verses tell of a future event, when Jesus will reenter the earth for everyone to see.  He will then defeat evil and save the remaining believers. This magnificent event will follow a cosmic phenomenon. Matthew 24:29 tells us just before Jesus’ return the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. We know when Jesus does return, it will not matter what time of day it is or where you will be at that time. It  will be pitch black on the earth when the clouds open up and the Lord of Lords in all his glory and magnificence returns from heaven.  Jesus will return just like he said he would. Revelation 1:7 says that he will come out of the clouds and that every eye will see him. Matthew 24:30 says everyone alive at that time will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Matthew 26:64 states that the Son of Man will be coming down to earth from the clouds of heaven. Unlike the Rapture, when only the believers will see him as they are called home by Jesus, the Second Coming will have every eye trained upward as Jesus the Lord of Lords reenters our earthly environment. It will not matter if you are a believer or nonbeliever, marked by God or marked by the Antichrist, he will be there for every eye to see. Matthew 24:31 says Jesus will gather his elect. His people who have waited with great anticipation will be gathered to be with the Lord, to be protected and comforted for all eternity. Can you imagine what that sight will look like to an unbeliever? I would think their hearts would stop right then. It seems to me that knowing what their future will be would be unbearable.

 Meanwhile, the tribulation saints will feel such ecstasy and relief with the sight of Jesus,  no wonder every knee will bow to him. No man would be able to stand at such an awesome sight. Unbelievers will bow either to ask forgiveness, or because Jesus will drive them to their knees.  Either way, they will go down and say that Jesus is Lord. Once Jesus returns. it will be too late to ask for forgiveness. So if you have not asked Jesus into your heart and asked for forgiveness of your sins, do it now before it is too late. There is no guarantee for us to have tomorrow, later on today, in a minute or in a second. The only guarantee that you have to be saved is right now!
