"Hello, Summer!"

About the Book

The book “Hello, Summer!” is for children and about children. The feelings, thoughts, and wishes of kids in the book as they interact with nature are revealed to the reader in series of poems related to the seasons of the year.

This book is especially loved by three to seven year-olds who enjoy recognizing themselves in the poems’ heroes.

About the Author

Lyudmila Lubensky moved to the United States from Ukraine in 1990. She worked as a teacher’s assistant at a daycare center for nine years.

Lyudmila has been writing poetry for a long time. She wrote for her children and their friends, later she wrote for her grandchildren.

While working at the daycare center, Lyudmila had a dream about having her poems translated from Russian into English, so she could read them to the kids at the center. Her dream finally came true thanks to Beatrice Yusem, a professional translator and Lyudmila’s friend.
