About the Book

Sandra writes about situations that come up just living life.  Poetic Expressions is a compilation of events that occurred during a vivid awareness of past times.  These poems cause a reminiscence of or reflection of readers’ experiences.  Therefore, a connection is formed, attracting a wanting to read on.  Sandra’s poems are really down to earth and easy to follow for understanding.  Adults and children can enjoy the humor and humility Sandra expresses.  She loves to write poems, to write poetry, to read, to dance, and sometimes to jog for relaxation.  In addition and by request, she can write poetry for special events, whether about holidays, bereavements, weddings, graduations, or personal situations.(iamthepoetlady@yahoo.com) 

About the Author

Sandra Grant Johnson was born in Brunswick, Georgia. Among her siblings, she is the third oldest of seven children and the oldest of four girls. She attended Risley Elementary School, Burroughs-Mollette Junior High, and Glynn Academy High School.

She received an Associate of Science Degree in Data Processing from Brunswick Junior College, now called Coastal Georgia Community College. After high school, Sandra married and had two sons, Derrick and Sean, whom she loves dearly. In 1998, she published a chapbook entitled “Planting a Good Seed…selected spiritual poems.” (iamthepoetlady@yahoo.com)  In pursuit of higher education, Sandra enrolled at DeVry University in Decatur, Georgia where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering Technology in June 2006.
