About the Book

All of his life Alandre Hardinaie had heard the stories of the Black Hole that was soon to devastate Mars and Earth. He gave little thought to these stories, as he did not believe them. He began a career as a pilot and then later to low orbit and space pilot/navigator. Having been born on Mars during the early Terra-forming years, Earth was just a distant blue planet that held only one small interest for him?Australia. His parents were born there and had come to Mars as Terra-Formers. So, when the I.I.S.C. offered to pay for his time and buy him his first commercial trip to Earth, he eagerly accepted. Little did he know that he would never again return to Mars. Abducted and forced into an insane and impossible mission, Alandre would not only never return to Mars or Earth, but also find himself sent far beyond the farthest galaxies and million of years into the future on a quest to save the entire Solar System. The only one of about two dozen ‘involuntary’ volunteers to survive, Alandre leaves the Solar System to encounter strange beings and chance circumstances that would wildly change the ‘mission’. As he traveled, the Biotelemtry system fed his mind with data from every direction. His knowledge began to expand second by second at an exponential rate. Long before leaving the Solar System, Alandre’s intelligence exceeded the sum total of every person on Mars and Earth and was still growing. StarCrosser, though traveling at a near impossible velocity, was still far too slow to ever accomplish the ‘mission”. Although Alandre had learned how to vastly increase his speed, much valuable time would have to be spent to find the needed resources and the laborers to help him. Uhu Mira, a planet on his path and populated by a very primitive race of people would prove to be that source.
