About the Author

Jacques was born in Paris, France, grandson of a French Count, and into a highly noted family in architecture, design, art, antiques and European culture. At the end of the war he served the U.S. War Department as a counter intelligence agent and criminal investigator in Paris. This was a high period in his life. Educated mostly in the United States. He is now a practicing architect in several states but has his home and office on beautiful Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. He is also a highly creative and sensitive artist and has as well been expressing this creativity and humor in poetry since the early 1980’s. His poetry comes from his own experiences as well as through transference from others. He has many times been awakened at night with the idea for a poem, which he writes down fully composed on first draft. He has no explanation for this but is grateful for this sleep-stealing gift.
