About the Book

Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Love is easily experienced if we yield to its requirements (I Corinthians 13: 1-13). Yet many of us find this hard to do. We reject love when we don't consider the purpose, the giver, and the possessor of love. Embracing love, the true essence of love, propels one fully into the presence of God. We enter His heart, His mind, His motive, and His character. When we embrace love, we embrace Him. This book "Owe Nothing but.Love" is a poetic rendition of the types of love I have experience in receiving from and giving to others. Some of these experiences have yielded valuable lessons that have been very tough. Especially in giving and sharing love with those I dislike. And more importantly, knowing how to recognize real love when it is given, and forgiving others genuinely when they love me incorrectly. As you read this book, I pray that God, who is love, demonstrates, His love for you now! Selah. "Once again K. Merl Walters writes so transparently about issues many will not discuss openly. "Soon Babies" touches the inner sentiments most women have felt shamed or shunned to acknowledge. This poem addresses the hurt, fear and hope every woman who ever experienced this needs and longs for" Audrey Dyer, Christian Educator "I never thought I would consider getting married again until I read the poem "Are you he?" Everett Leonard Newton, Pastor First Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church of Christ "The beautifully written poem "Soon Babies" expresses the heart of millions of women who have lost their babies to abortion and offers undying hope to see them soon in Heaven." Marsha Tucker, Director Mended Heart Ministries "Reading these poems about family made me feel good too!" Miranda Osuji Simmonds, Sophomore - Clark Atlanta University
