SERENITY.
Tall pine trees, shadows throw
Sunset paints, the heavens aglow
The vale of darkness, soon to fall
Sounds of the wild, distantly call
Deep in the hills, the depths of night
A cabin unshaded, from a ray of moonlight
This place of solitude, tranquility
Touched by Gods hand, this land of free
Soon dawn awakes, the rising sun
From the heavens, brightness shone
Wild flowers blossom, to peaks full bloom
Softly blowing mists of scented perfume
Fresh waters flow, down a mountain stream
Wild grass grows, many shades of green
Young bear cubs, play nearby
They hear the echo of a mothers cry
Sparrowhawks, vultures, birds of prey
Fly in search of food, by day
Fledglings, nesting in nearby trees
A long eared hare, timidly flees
In the depths of the hills, the deer graze
With tossing head, the young fawn plays
A picturesque landscape, a heavenly grace
Uncultivated and unihabited
By the human race
In this profound and rural place.
WINDOWS TO THE SOUL
The eye,s say so much
Of a person, it,s true
The windows to the soul
reflect upon you
From sorrow and pain
Eye,s harsh and cold
The eye,s cannot hide
What the soul does behold
But a soul which is filled
With peace and love
Like a ray of light
will shine above
But a soul heavy ladened
With sorrow and pain
Shall reflect upon darkness
Like a faded flame

About the Book
In this my first book of Fifty Poems, Each one encapsulated within a Decorative Flower Border..... I take you through the seasons, Reliving many precious memories of my childhood, spent in the beautiful countryside of North Wales and Lancashire.
I relive in verse, Peace, Hope and Tranquility, in this ever changing world in which we live.....Casting your mind back to the days when we were young and carefree.....Of Pain, and Sorrow suffered by the less fortunate in our society....Of Dreams and Aspirations, of Nature itself, in all its beauty.....Of family life and those we care for....
I do hope you enjoy sharing those moments with me.

About the Author
I was brought up in Dr. Barnardo's Childrens home, In the beautiful countryside of Llandudno, North Wales, From the age of eight months, till i was twelve years old.....I was taken to live with my " So called " father in manchester, For Two very miserable years.................... From there i moved to live in Cheshire, with my Grandparents, untill the age of sixteen...then ....From there i moved to Lancashire, where now,at thirty eight, i live as a single parent with one son, Whom i love dearly, and have dedicated two of my poems too.......
Inspired by the countryside, i've always known. I have been writing Poetry for many years, Captivating those precious moments that i've spent enjoying such beautiful scenery around me......
Simce 1993 i've had many individual poems published by " Anchor Books " where the royalities where donated to various Charities...N.S.P.C.C.......Cancer Research.......... British Heart ............ Foundation, and many more............ .Then in the year 2000, i was nominated " Poet of the year " for the North West, and recieved an award from " The International Poetry Society "....
Since then i have appeared on Cable Television which was filmed in my home in Heywood, Lancashire, and recited my Poetry for a live show on G.M.R. Radio in Manchester and Pride Radio in Middleton.....At the moment i'm involved in a Poetry event at my local library, where i encourage children to write poetry, which has been a great success.
