About the Book

All of scripture indicates that we are working outside of Gods'' will when we operate under our own steam. Thus, our compassionate, loving actions must be the outcome of Gods'' holiness or righteousness, not the cause. This is a different understanding than many hold. It seems we are obsessed with finding a way to be more holy or more righteous in our actions when the truth is that in finding our fulfillment in our relationship with the Father and our salvation through Christ our actions become more holy and righteous. This understanding, along with a study of the ''health, wealth and prosperity'' theology sweeping the country, was too compelling to let pass. It was imperative that my Jonah put God back on the throne as the reason and cause of holiness while removing the idol of self. Thus, my Jonah takes the course of looking at self and relationship with the Father as a means of doing holiness. The rewards are the gifts and the reason is Gods'' absoluteness.
