Welcome Home Ginny

About the Book

Ginny was awakened by the sound of a motorcycle coming through the apple orchard. "Where am I going to hide?  Maybe they are coming back to see if I''m dead!"  She crawled around to the back of the tree pressing her body tightly against it. She held her breath; she must not make a sound.  Her heart was beating so hard she was sure whoever was there would hear it.  "Oh God, please help me now" she prayed.  The motorcycle passed close by the tree, turned and made a circle around the house.  "Oh no, they are coming back," she held her breath once again and tried to listen for some sound.  "It stopped, it stopped.!"  Ginny felt she would pass out, her head was spinning. "What if they saw me?" She clung to the tree, digging her long fingernails into its bark.

"Hey Missy, whatcha doing hanging onto that tree?  Don''t move an inch," said the old man while holding his shotgun just a few feet away from her hiding place.One loud blast from his gun almost deafened Ginny. Screaming as loud as she could and shaking all over, she realized she had not been the target.

About the Author

         Bonnie Johns Gabbard and her husband Russ live in beautiful Post Falls, Idaho.  They have two daughters, two handsome son in-laws, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, Hanna and Austin.

She is a published author and poet, as well as a free lance writer/storyteller.

Her first book, The Journals of Susan Lindsay is available and may be ordered from any book store.

Bonnie is active in Women’s Ministries.  Both she and her husband love to entertain, and bring laughter and love to all they meet.

Even before Ginny goes to print, the author is busy writing another faith based book for both family and friends to enjoy.
