About the Author

The Author has visited palaces, some small and unimportant and some

grand and very important, in many places around the world. She has

lived in tribal territory in south Asia and in a fishing village in the

North Atlantic coast and then lived for many years in San Francisco.

Her home today is on the Mediterranean Sea or, to be more precise, at

the place where the Mediterranean and Aegean meet and from there she

can almost see the Little Palace itself dancing in the sunlight and

dreaming with the stars.
