What is it about Freemasonry that has enlightened millions of good men for so many generations? Here in our great state, for 200 years since 1806, the Grand Lodge of Delaware has been steadfast and diligent in working to help good men become better men and, as a result, to promote the welfare of society as a whole. Since 1806 the Grand Lodge of Delaware has chartered Blue Lodges in most communities throughout the state resulting in numerous opportunities for Masons to transform themselves into leadership roles. From these Lodges come the men who have grown in stature in a way that has assured capable progression as a Grand Officer in the Grand Lodge of Delaware. For some 153 brethren that progression has led to becoming Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Delaware, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. The last 50 years have been especially rewarding yet increasingly provided difficult challenges to all Delaware Masons. This book highlights many of the significant events and issues during that period.

About the Book
This book was published for the Bicentennial Celebration of the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Delaware that was formed in 1806. It covers primarily events and activities for the last 50 years because in 1956 Brother Charles E. Green published a history of the first 150 years. However, there is information for the reader in this publication prior to 1956, e.g. Grand Master pictures and Blue Lodge information and building pictures.
The reader will be interested in the various Grand Lodge changes over the last 50 years as well as activities that Delaware Masons have organized or participated within Delaware or surrounding states. A Mason, either within Delaware or elsewhere, will enjoy reading about topics of interest regarding the Grand Lodge of Delaware, the Blue Lodges and other events that have occurred in the last 50 years. A non-mason will discover much about Freemasonry.
About the Author
Richard Wade Garland and Harold Jack Littleton are retired businessmen. They both live in the suburbs of Wilmington, Delaware. Richard and his wife Tina have two children (Susan and Jeff) and three grandchildren. Jack and his wife Marion have one son (Tom) and one granddaughter.
