Mr. Smith is the father of four sons and is the Scoutmaster of a local Special Needs Boy Scout Troop. He enjoys woodworking, fly fishing, camping, salt water fishing, searching for antiques, baking, and vegetable gardening.
This is his first storybook for early readers, which teaches several lessons of life and self worth. It reaffirms the seasons, colors, numbers, and introduces the growing procedure for pumpkins plus the delicious products that can be made from fresh pumpkins.

Miss Felty was asked to begin illustrations on this book prior to her high school graduation and while 17 years of age. She was under contract, financially compensated as a beginning artist, and was under the guidance and direction of her mother. For years Miss Felty has entered several art contests throughout
Her favorite pastimes include swimming, shopping, dancing, fishing and gardening.
The inspiration for the pictures for the dog in this story come from her own one-year-old Welsh Corgi named “Bear”.
