My belly button looks different!! The other night I was looking in the mirror and I realized that I could see the bottom of my belly button as plain as day. Usually it just looks like a deep dark hole, but now you can see right into it! Weird! Will my belly button ever look the same again??? I’ll have to remember this. When my kids grow up I’ll say- "kids, before I got pregnant my belly button looked entirely different from now..." Of course I’m not just thinking about my belly button- I mean, what else is going to change about me? Physically, mentally? What things will remain changed and what will return back to normal? Will I still be the same person? It’s all very interesting to think about. ....
So I’m almost halfway through! I’m feeling huge today... I just ate lunch, and I think I ate too much. I’m wearing one of my pre-pregnancy skirts. It’s a little tight so I think that it’s going to have to go to the back of the closet! It fit this morning!! I’m starting to show a lot. People are asking me if I’m pregnant and when I’m due and all that jazz... It’s kinda fun. It still kinda feels weird to me that I’m pregnant, but I’m getting really excited. We won’t know the sex until the ultrasound on Aug. 9th, but we’ve already started buying just a few little things. I bought some onesies with my mother when I was out visiting her. And the other night we bought some itty bitty socks. I can’t wait until we get a dresser and a crib so I’ll have a place to put stuff! I really can’t wait until we find out if it’s a boy or a girl. My boyfriend said that I should really stop calling it a boy or a girl until we find out for sure. I don’t know. I’m still kinda sure that my initial hunch is right. We’ll see.
